No, I'm not a celebrity or anything. I won't be sitting at a desk waiting for you to come and get your book signed. Barnes & Noble is my happy place. The ability I have to lose track of time in this book store is unreal. There's just so many things to look at. I never have a plan on what I'm looking for either. Usually,my trip starts off in the journal section. I'll find a nice hardcover one that I like and I'll hold onto it for the duration of my stay while I look at other books. On one particular day, I found myself in the personal growth section. I came across a book entitled Black Girl in Love ( with Herself ) by Trey Anthony. Maybe, I was just drawn to the cover. I'm of mixed descent, my mom is Haitian and my father is Puerto rican. I identify as being Afro-latina. Anyway, this book changed my life. It was the reason why I was able to find a therapist that I truly connected with. We'll get more into that later. By the way, I never purchased the journal I mentioned in the onset... It didn't have the right pens to go with it... and I'm a sucker for pens. I think Amazon saved me on that one.
